Sound barrier walls
The Elematic sound barrier system
• Based on hollow-core slab production
• Sound absorption capacity can be in
excess of 8 dB
• Variety of outer appearances possible
Definition Sound
barrier wall are structures used to block off sound, e.g. to protect
residential areas from highways and railways, and can be either sound
absorbing or sound reflecting.
Description The
most important part of the Elematic sound barrier system are sound
absorbing panels that can have a sound absorbing capacity in excess of
8 dB. These panels are manufactured using the same methods as for
hollow-core slabs, allowing for most of the sound barrier to be made
with industrial methods and also offering the benefit of longer spans.
In addition, the appearance of sound barriers can be easily be changed
with different plant gratings or battening, and individual barriers can
be made by changing the color and shape of steel and timber parts.
